What we do

Creators earn when others perform or make use of their works. In the most diverse places and diverse media. It is difficult for authors to find out for themselves who is using their work and whether they are receiving fair remuneration. Without the support of a collection management organisation, this is practically impossible. As such, authors all over the world affiliate themselves with associations and other organisations that collect royalties for them. And users in turn are better able to enjoy creative works.

We are the largest collective copyright management organisation in Poland. We have over 100 years of experience, knowledge and tools. Every year we transfer to creators millions of zlotys of remuneration due to them. We bring together composers, lyricists, screenwriters, playwrights, translators, visual artists, choreographers and creators of other arts, as well as music publishers. As a society, we carry out wide-ranging social activities for the benefit of our members. We are also one of the largest patrons of art and culture in Poland.

In order to provide authors with remuneration for the use of their works:

  • permission is granted on behalf of the creator for the use of their works. We call this licensing.
  • remuneration is collected from companies, institutions and individuals who use the works in their activities. We call this royalty collection.
  • copyright remunerations collected in this way, called royalties, are divided as appropriate and paid out. We call this distribution.

Since 1918, we have been building a world that values culture, creativity and imagination.
