The results of the 1st stage of the International Composition Competition for the Centenary of the Society of Authors ZAiKS
The Jury of the first stage of the competition, consisting of:
Lorenzo Ferrero (Chairman), Edward Pałłasz (Jury Member), Marcin Błażewicz (Jury Member) and Miłosz Bembinow (Secretary) has proceeded from the 7th to 12th of September 2018.
There have been 85 submissions received from Austria, Belarus, Columbia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Israel, Poland and Serbia. Very high artistic level of submitted works as well as their wide stylistical variety have been perceived.
As a result of deep analysis of all submitted compositions, the Jury decided to choose to the final stage the following works:

After opening envelopes containing personal data of participants, it has turned out that composers of chosen pieces are:
"in broken images" - Otto Wanke (Austria)
"Glow" - Wojciech Kostrzewa (Poland)
"Largo" - Stanisław Krupowicz (Poland)
"Dalal" - Peter Hindertür (Germany)
"Phenomenon" - Eun-ho Chang (Poland/South Korea)
"E->E III" - Masashi Kawashima (Austria/Japan)
Compositions selected during the first stage will be performed on the 26th of October 2018 at the Szczecin Philharmonic. Final results as well as the Audience and Orchestra Awards will be announced that day.
